TAMPA, Fla. – Three Ohio track & field athletes competed at the NCAA East Regional Thursday hosted at USF Track & Field Stadium.

ATHENS, Ohio – Following the release of the 2016-17 NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate (APR) Wednesday, Ohio has continued to see solid academic progress from its 16 intercollegiate programs with all programs reaching a score above 970 in multi-year rate, a first in program history.
Ohio baseball junior first baseman Rody Rott (Holmen, Wis.) has been named the 2018 Mid-American Conference Player of the Year while designated hitter Tanner Piechnick (Canonsburg. Pa.) has earned All-MAC Second Team recognition, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday (May 22). Rott also earned All-MAC First Team and All-MAC Defensive Team selection.
Unable to overcome a three-run inning in the top of the third, the Ohio softball team (40-17) saw their magical run at the 2018 NCAA Knoxville Regional come to an end, falling to No. 10 Tennessee (48-12), 5-1, inside Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.
