ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio baseball team's Saturday (May 5) Mid-American Conference game against Ball State at Bob Wren Stadium has been postponed due to rainy conditions in Athens. The contest will be made up on Sunday (May 6) as part of a doubleheader. The twin bill is now set to get underway at 1 p.m. ET.
The Bobcats (20-24, 8-11 MAC) were edged by the Cardinals (24-20, 11-8 MAC) on Friday (May 4) in the opening contest of the three-game set.
Ohio will look to bounce back and earn its third MAC series victory of the 2018 season on Sunday. Redshirt senior lefty Gerry Salisbury (Brunswick, Ohio) will get the start on the mound for the Bobcats in game one and oppose freshman right-hander Drey Jameson of the Cardinals. Ohio's starting pitcher for game two is to be determined. Freshman righty Kyle Nicolas is scheduled to get the start for Ball State. 'Voice of the Bobcats' Russ Eisenstein and Max McDulin will have the call of the action on WOUB 1340 AM and online on OhioBobcats.com via Stretch Internet. The contests will also be streamed live by OhioBobcatTV via YouTube.
