Ohio Men's Golf Ties For Seventh At The Invitational At Savannah Harbor

The Invitational at Savannah Harbor Final Results

SAVANNAH, Ga. -- The Ohio men's golf team finished in a tie for seventh place with Tennessee Tech at The Invitational at Savannah Harbor with a total team score of 884 (+20) after shooting a final-round 295 (+7) on Sunday (Feb. 18) at The Club at Savannah Harbor.

The Bobcats shot rounds of 295 (+7) and 294 (+6) in the first two rounds of the tournament on Saturday (Feb. 17). Ohio finished The Invitational at Savannah Harbor with 44 birides -- good for fifth-most in the field.

Tournament host William & Mary won The Invitational at Savannah Harbor for the second year in a row, tallying a total team score of 854 (-10) to win the even by three strokes. The Tribe used a strong performance on Saturday to win the event, shooting rounds of 280 (-8) and 283 (-5).

Butler sophomore Logan Sabins took home medalist honors, winning The Invitational at Savannah Harbor with a 209 (-7) courtesy of round scores of 69 (-3), 68 (-4) and 72 (E). 

Freshman Zach Crawford (Vandalia, Ohio) and senior Brady Bohl (Dublin, Ohio) tied for 18th place to wrap up The Invitational at Savannah Harbor as Ohio's top finishers with matching scores of 219 (+3). After totaling rounds of 75 (+3) and 71 (-1) on Saturday, Crawford shot a final-round 73 (+1) on Sunday. Crawford was -5 on the par 5s -- tied for second-best in the field. Bohl followed up rounds scores of 74 (+2) and 70 (-2) on Saturday with a 75 (+3) in the final round on Sunday. He tied for second in the field by shooting -3 on the par 3s. He also tied for second in the field with 14 birdies.

Junior Ben Sattler (Liberty Township, Ohio) carded a 225 (+9) to finish in a tie for 43rd. He recorded round scores of 74 (+2), 74 (+2) and 77 (+5).

Freshman Tanner Johnson (Venetia, Pa.) posted rounds of 72 (E), 81 (+9) and 74 (+2), tying for 51st with a 227 (+11).

Making his Bobcat debut, freshman Zach Mandry (Solon, Ohio) finished in a tie for 68th with a 233 (+17). He totaled round scores of 81 (+9), 79 (+7) and 73 (+1).

Up next for the Bobcats will be their lone tournament in the month of March, as Ohio heads to North Carolina to play in the Pinehurst Intercollegiate (March 9-11) at Pinehurst No. 8.
