    Ohio softball senior Morgan Geno has been named the Mid-American Conference Co-Player of the Week for her performance the week of March 11, the league announced today (March19).

    The Ohio softball team (17-10) returns to action Tuesday, March 19 when the Bobcats head to Pittsburgh, Pa. to take on Pitt (4-21). First pitch is set for 4 p.m. at the Petersen Sports Complex.

    The Ohio softball team (17-10) wrapped up play at the 2019 Hoosier Classic on Sunday (March 16), falling to host No. 19 Indiana, 6-4. 
  • Ohio Softball Sets Ohio and MAC Single Game Homerun Record in Victory over St. Francis (Pa.)

    The Ohio softball team (17-9) continued play at the 2019 Hoosier Classic on Saturday (March 16), defeating St. Francis (Pa.), 17-6 in five innings, while hitting seven homeruns and setting the program and Mid-American Conference record for homeruns in a single game. 
  • Ohio Softball Upsets No. 19 Indiana in Opening Day of Hoosier Classic

    The Ohio softball team (16-9) opened play at the 2019 Hoosier Classic on Saturday, falling to St. Francis (Pa.), 19-18 in game one, before coming back and upsetting No. 19 Indiana, 4-1 in the second game of the day.

  • Day Leads Ohio Softball to 1-0 Victory Over Liberty

    Thanks to a second inning solo homerun from senior Alex Day, the Ohio softball team (15-8) wrapped up play at the 2019 UCLA, Long Beach State Invitational on Sunday (March 10), defeating Liberty (15-9), 1-0. The Bobcats wrapped up the weekend with a 4-1 record. 
  • Ohio Softball Sweeps Second Day of UCLA/Long Beach State Invitational

    The Ohio softball team wrapped up the second day of the 2019 UCLA Long Beach State Invitational on Saturday (March 9) by sweeping the day’s competition. Ohio come out and defeated San Diego State, 5-1 in the first game of the day, before coming back and downing Long Beach State, 5-1 for their second victory of the day. 
  • Ohio Softball Splits Day One at UCLA/Long Beach St. Invitational

    The Ohio softball team (12-8) opened up play in the 2019 UCLA/Long Beach Invitational Friday afternoon (Mar. 8) splitting the day’s competitions. The Bobcats fell to BYU (8-9), 3-2, in game one, and later went on to defeat Robert Morris (3-11), 8-1, in the final game of the day.

  • Ohio Softball Falls to Duke in Duke/N.C. State Invitational Finale

    The Ohio softball team (11-7) wrapped up play at the 2019 Duke/N.C. State Invitational, falling to host Duke, 2-1. The Bobcats finished the weekend with a 4-1 record. 
  • Ohio Softball Concludes Thrilling Day at Duke/N.C. State Invitational with Three Wins

    In a day that saw the Ohio softball team (11-6) rally from five runs down in the top of the seventh, to a thrilling extra inning victory and a walk-off victory in a resumed game, the Bobcats wrapped up a successful day at the 2019 Duke/N.C. State Invitational on Saturday (March 2). The Bobcats defeated Campbell, 9-6 in comeback fashion in game one, defeated Charleston Southern, 4-3 in eight innings, and a walk off homerun from Morgan Geno gave the Bobcats a 5-4 victory over Mississippi State.  
  • Ohio Softball Earns Victory, Has Game Postponed Due to Rain at Duke/N.C. Invitational

    The Ohio softball team returned to action on Friday, March 1 at the first day of the Duke/N.C. State Invitational. The Bobcats picked up an 8-5 victory over Charleston Southern before the Bobcats game against Mississippi State was stopped in the bottom of the fifth inning due to rain. The Bobcats and Bulldogs are tentatively scheduled to resume that game on Saturday (March 2) at 6 p.m. 
  • Ohio Softball Set for Duke/N.C. State Invitational 
    February 28, 2019
    The Ohio softball team (7-6) returns to action Fri., March 1 through Sun., March 3 when they travel to Durham, N.C. and Raleigh, N.C. to compete in the Duke/N.C. State Invitational. The combined invitational will see the Bobcats play three games on the campus of Duke and two on the campus of N.C. State.    
  • Ohio Softball Falls to Marshall

    The Ohio softball team (7-6) returned to the diamond on Wednesday (Feb. 27) when they paid a visit to Huntington, W. Va. to take on Marshall (11-5) in some mid-week softball action, with the Bobcats falling by the final of 8-0 in five innings.

    The Ohio softball team (6-3) returns to action this weekend when they head to Carbondale, Ill. Friday, Feb. 22- Sunday, Feb. 24 where they will take on host Southern Illinois and Evansville.  
  • Ohio Softball Announces Weekend Schedule Changes
    February 20, 2019
    Due to historic rainfall in Chattanooga, Tenn., the Ohio softball team will no longer be playing at the 2019 Frost Classic, hosted by UT Chattanooga. The Bobcats will now head to Carbondale, Ill. and play three games. The Bobcats will open play on Friday, Feb. 22 when they take on Southern Illinois at 3:30 p.m.ET and Evansville at 5:30 p.m. ET. Due to rain in the forecast, games will not be played on Saturday, but the Bobcats will wrap up the weekend on Sunday, Feb. 24 with one game against SIU at 3:30 p.m. ET.
  • Ohio Softball Sweeps Final Day at Gamecock Invitational

    The Ohio softball team (6-3) wrapped up play at the 2019 Gamecock Invitational Sunday (Feb. 17), sweeping the day’s competition. The Bobcats defeated Campbell (1-8), 4-3, in game one, and came back later in the afternoon to defeat Charlotte (3-4), 8-6, in the final game. 
  • Ohio Softball Drops Extra Inning Contest to UNCG

    The Ohio softball team continued play at the 2019 Gamecock Invitational on Saturday (Feb. 16), falling to UNC Greensboro, 4-3 in eight innings. Sophomore Katie Yun led Ohio at the plate with three hits, two doubles and three RBI. 
  • Ohio Softball Falls to No.15 South Carolina on Opening Day of Gamecock Invitational

    Despite a two-out rally in the top of the seventh inning, the Ohio softball team (4-2) fell to No. 15 South Carolina, 4-2, in the opening game of the 2019 Gamecock Invitational Friday night (Feb. 15) inside Carolina Stadium. 
  • Ohio Softball Set for 2019 Gamecock Invitational

    The Ohio softball team (4-1) will continue their 2019 season in Columbia, S.C. to compete in the Gamecock Invitational. The Bobcats will take on South Carolina on Friday, February 15 at 5 p.m. They continue the tournament on Saturday, February 16 when they play UNC Greensboro at 10 a.m. On Sunday, Ohio will play Campbell at 10 a.m. before finishing the tournament against Charlotte at 3 p.m.

    The Ohio softball team (4-1) wrapped up play at the 2019 Phyllis Rafter Memorial, defeating Eastern Illinois (2-3), 4-1, Sunday afternoon (Feb. 10) in Kennesaw, Ga.

    Led by a five hit day from sophomore Allie Englant and a masterful first career start from freshman Mackensie Kohl, the Ohio softball team (3-1) wrapped up day two of the 2019 Phyllis Rafter Memorial Saturday (Feb. 9), sweeping the day’s games. The Bobcats defeated Morehead State, 6-1 in the first game before coming back to down host Kennesaw State, 7-2 in the final game of the day.

    The Ohio softball team (1-1) opened the 2019 season at the Phyllis Rafter Memorial Friday afternoon (Feb.8) splitting the day’s games. The Bobcats defeated Eastern Illinois, 9-8, helping earn first-year head coach Kenzie Roark her first victory as the Bobcats’ leader.Ohio would fall to Chattanooga, 6-3, later in the day
  • Ohio Softball Opens 2019 Season At Phyllis Rafter Memorial Tournament

    Under first-year head coach Kenzie Roark, the Ohio softball team will open the 46thseason of Bobcat softball when they travel to Kennesaw, Ga., to participate in the Phyllis Rafter Memorial. While there, the Bobcats will take on Eastern Illinois, Chattanooga, Morehead State and host Kennesaw State. 
  • Ohio Softball Selected Third in MAC Preseason Poll

    The reigning Mid-American Conference Regular Season and Tournament Champion Ohio softball team has been selected third in the 2019 MAC Softball Preseason Poll, the leagues announced today (Fab. 6). The poll was voted on by the league’s 11 head coaches.
