The Ohio softball team (17-9) continued play at the 2019 Hoosier Classic on Saturday (March 16), defeating St. Francis (Pa.), 17-6 in five innings, while hitting seven homeruns and setting the program and Mid-American Conference record for homeruns in a single game.

Ohio come out and defeated San Diego State, 5-1 in the first game of the day, before coming back and downing Long Beach State, 5-1 for their second victory of the day.
The Ohio softball team (12-8) opened up play in the 2019 UCLA/Long Beach Invitational Friday afternoon (Mar. 8) splitting the day’s competitions. The Bobcats fell to BYU (8-9), 3-2, in game one, and later went on to defeat Robert Morris (3-11), 8-1, in the final game of the day.
In a day that saw the Ohio softball team (11-6) rally from five runs down in the top of the seventh, to a thrilling extra inning victory and a walk-off victory in a resumed game, the Bobcats wrapped up a successful day at the 2019 Duke/N.C. State Invitational on Saturday (March 2). The Bobcats defeated Campbell, 9-6 in comeback fashion in game one, defeated Charleston Southern, 4-3 in eight innings, and a walk off homerun from Morgan Geno gave the Bobcats a 5-4 victory over Mississippi State.
The Ohio softball team returned to action on Friday, March 1 at the first day of the Duke/N.C. State Invitational. The Bobcats picked up an 8-5 victory over Charleston Southern before the Bobcats game against Mississippi State was stopped in the bottom of the fifth inning due to rain. The Bobcats and Bulldogs are tentatively scheduled to resume that game on Saturday (March 2) at 6 p.m.
The Ohio softball team (7-6) returns to action Fri., March 1 through Sun., March 3 when they travel to Durham, N.C. and Raleigh, N.C. to compete in the Duke/N.C. State Invitational. The combined invitational will see the Bobcats play three games on the campus of Duke and two on the campus of N.C. State.
The Ohio softball team (7-6) returned to the diamond on Wednesday (Feb. 27) when they paid a visit to Huntington, W. Va. to take on Marshall (11-5) in some mid-week softball action, with the Bobcats falling by the final of 8-0 in five innings.
The Ohio softball team (7-4) opened up play in Carbondale, Ill. on Friday (Feb. 22), falling to host Southern Illinois, 3-0 in game one, before bouncing back and taking down Evansville, 5-0, in the second game.
Due to historic rainfall in Chattanooga, Tenn., the Ohio softball team will no longer be playing at the 2019 Frost Classic, hosted by UT Chattanooga. The Bobcats will now head to Carbondale, Ill. and play three games. The Bobcats will open play on Friday, Feb. 22 when they take on Southern Illinois at 3:30 p.m.ET and Evansville at 5:30 p.m. ET. Due to rain in the forecast, games will not be played on Saturday, but the Bobcats will wrap up the weekend on Sunday, Feb. 24 with one game against SIU at 3:30 p.m. ET.

The Bobcats will take on South Carolina on Friday, February 15 at 5 p.m. They continue the tournament on Saturday, February 16 when they play UNC Greensboro at 10 a.m. On Sunday, Ohio will play Campbell at 10 a.m. before finishing the tournament against Charlotte at 3 p.m.

Under first-year head coach Kenzie Roark, the Ohio softball team will open the 46thseason of Bobcat softball when they travel to Kennesaw, Ga., to participate in the Phyllis Rafter Memorial. While there, the Bobcats will take on Eastern Illinois, Chattanooga, Morehead State and host Kennesaw State.
The reigning Mid-American Conference Regular Season and Tournament Champion Ohio softball team has been selected third in the 2019 MAC Softball Preseason Poll, the leagues announced today (Fab. 6). The poll was voted on by the league’s 11 head coaches.
