Completed during the spring of 1999, the Ohio Softball Field stands alongside Bob Wren Stadium as just one of the venues that make up the Ohio Athletics Mall. On April 2, 1999, the Bobcats swept a double-header (6-5, 6-4) from conference rival Miami (Ohio) in the inaugural event held at the Ohio Softball Field

Included among the amenities of the stadium are sunken dugouts with team access restrooms, dugout heaters, bullpens for Ohio and visiting teams as well as a covered batting cage area behind the leftfield wall. Several renovations have taken place at the Ohio Softball Field since its inception that include the installation of protective netting, field boundary padding, sound system and a digital scoreboard over the years.

In the spring of 2017, brand new bleachers and a raised press box were constructed and ready for the start of the 2017 home season. After the season concluded, the renovation was completed with the addition of a brick wall façade on the back side of the facility and a new Attack Cat logo on the back of the press box. The 2018 season then saw the Bobcats go a perfect 11-0 at home on their way to a MAC Regular Season and Tournament Championship.
