ATHENS, Ohio – As part of a previously announced agreement between ESPN3 and the Mid-American Conference, Ohio Athletics is set to produce various college sports events that will stream live on ESPN3 this fall. Coverage will debut in early October with an Ohio Bobcats volleyball match.

Scripps School and visiting professor Tom Edwards who has 47 years working in live television and sports production.

Students will be enrolled in a specialized video production course which has been created for the new initiative and will receive instruction on the expectations of the finished broadcast. Students will then gain valuable real-world experience through running nearly all the broadcast positions. The class, Special Topics in Electronic Media – Video, will be taught by Moore and Chiappino and meets once a week with lab time scheduled for the broadcasts.
