ATHENS, Ohio –The 2018 Mid-American Conference Champion Ohio softball team (38-15) will head to Knoxville, Tenn. for the 2018 NCAA Regionals. The Bobcats will face off against James Madison (42-12) on Friday, May 18 at 3 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN3.
The double-elimination tournament begins May 18 and will go through May 20, with the winner advancing to Super Regionals May 24-27.
Also in the bracket is tenth-seeded Tennessee (45-12) and Monmouth (32-14). The Bobcats and James Madison met earlier in the year in Harrisonburg, Va. for the JMU Invitational. The Bobcats fell to JMU in the first game, and then defeated the Dukes, 9-7, in nine innings in their second matchup.
