Due to winter weather in the forecast, the Ohio softball home opener scheduled for Wednesday, March 21 has been postponed to a future date that is yet to be determined. The Bobcats will now open the home portion of their schedule March 23-24 when they begin Mid-American Conference play against Central Michigan. Ohio’s game on March 23 is set to begin at 4 p.m. at the OSF. The series will conclude Saturday, March 24 with a doubleheader scheduled to start at 1 p.m.

The Ohio softball team returns to Athens for the first time during the 2018 season on Wednesday, March 21 when the Bobcats host Dayton. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. at the Ohio Softball Field. Led by a four-hit day from Katie Yun, the Ohio softball team (11-12) wrapped up play at the 2018 JMU Invitational hosted by James Madison, defeating Stony Brook (7-10), 10-3, Sunday morning.
Down five runs in the sixth inning, the Ohio softball team (10-12) would storm back, scoring seven unanswered runs to defeat James Madison (19-6), 9-7 in nine innings, in the second day of the JMU Invitational. Katie Yun and Michaela Dorsey would lead the way for Ohio, both registering three hits, two RBI and a homerun each in the victory.
