ATHENS, Ohio– The Ohio women's golf team returns to the course this week when they head to Silver Lake, Ohio for the 2019 Fall Preview Oct. 7-8. The 54-hole event hosted by Akron will take place at the 6,177-yard Silver Lake Country Club. Par is set at 72.

This year's event will take place at the 6,177-yard Silver Lake Country Club in Silver Lake, Ohio. Par is set at 72.

WHO IS COMPETING
Including Ohio, nine teams will compete at this year's event. They are, Akron (host), Ball State, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Ohio, Toledo, Western Michigan and Youngstown State. In addition, there are 19 players playing as individuals, including three players from Kent State.

Competing for Ohio in this year's event are:
- Sophomore Alicia Porvasnik
- Sophomore Catherine Loftus
- Freshman Avery Ovens
- Freshman Maria Howard
- Junior Ashley Flynn

THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT OHIO WOMEN'S GOLF
- Ohio finished last year's Fall Preview in eighth-place, finishing with a tournament total of 930 (+66).
- Catherine Loftus (Roswell, Ga.) led the way for Ohio at last year's event, finishing in 15th place, her best finish as a Bobcat at the time. Loftus finished the tournament with a two-day total of 227 (+11).
-  Alicia Porvasnik (Hinckley, Ohio) finished 63rd in last year's tournament with an overall score of 245 (+29).
- Loftus leads Ohio with a 77.89 stroke average through nine rounds this season. 

UP NEXT
The Bobcats conclude the fall season at the 2019 Flyer Invitational Oct. 14-15. The events hosted by Dayton will take place at the NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio.
