BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Ohio recorded four individual podium finishes on the third day of the 2020 Mid-American Conference Swimming & Diving Championships at the University of Buffalo's Alumni Arena Pool and Natatorium.
The Bobcats are now in seventh place with 187.5 points, overtaking Ball State on the team leaderboard.
A day after placing fourth in the 500-yard freestyle, freshman Emma Fortman (Madeira, Ohio) took third place in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:47.81 to highlight day three of the conference championships for the Bobcats.
The Bobcats occupied both fourth and fifth place in the 400-yard individual medley, with junior Samantha Glass (Villa Hills, Ky.) finishing in 4:18.48 while junior Katherine Garrity (Eagan, Minn.) clocked a 4:19.26.
Finishing seventh in the 100-yard breaststroke was senior Emilia Lahtinen (Ylojarvi, Finland), who timed in at 1:03.06.
Fortman, Lahtinen, sophomore Athena Aravantinou (North Bethesda, Md.) and freshman Madeline Marks (Bentonville, Ark.) combined for a sixth-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:43.83.
The fourth and final day of the 2020 MAC Swimming & Diving Championships takes place Saturday (Feb. 29), with session one getting going at 10:30 a.m. ET while session two follows at 4:30 p.m. ET. The 1650 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 200 butterfly, three-meter diving and 400 freestyle relay are all scheduled to be contested.
