Ohio track and field concludes the final day of the 2018 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships in 12th place with a three-day total of 29 points scored. Over the meet, the Bobcats secured a total of nine top-eight finishes.
The Ohio track and field team plans to host their final meet before the 2018 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships next weekend (May 10-12). The Ohio Open (May 4) will feature athletes from Capital, Rio Grande and, Waynesburg with action beginning at 2 p.m.
Ohio women’s track and field wrapped up a busy weekend competing at the Hillsdale Gina Relays and the Miami Redhawk Invitational. The Bobcats recorded several top-10 finishes over the weekend including two wins in the throws from senior Emma Ryan.
The Ohio track and field team plans to split up over two meets this weekend as some of the squad travels to Hillsdale, Mich. to compete at the Hillsdale Gina Relays (April 27-28) and the rest head to Mid-American Conference rival, Miami, to compete at the Redhawk Invitational (April 28).
The Ohio track and field team will travel to Columbus to compete against individuals from over 50 universities at the 2018 Jesse Owens Track Classic this weekend, April 20-21. Friday’s field action will begin at 2 p.m. with the women’s hammer throw and the running events will kick off with the women’s 5K at 6:30.
Ohio’s track and field team heads back home from the 2018 Charlotte Invitational (April 13-14) hosted by the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Over the course of the meet, the Bobcats secured 30 top-15 finishes and Gaza Odunaiya secured a win in the hammer throw.
The Ohio track and field team heads south for the weekend where they plan to compete at the 2018 Charlotte Invitational (April 13-14) hosted by UNC Charlotte. The weekend is set to begin on Friday with field events starting at 2 p.m. and running events at 6:30. Saturday’s events will be kicked off with field events at 9 a.m. and running events at noon.
The Ohio track and field team will host their first of two home meets this outdoor season, the 2018 Ohio Cherry Blossom Invitational (April 7). The meet will begin promptly at 11:30 and will serve as the 2018 Senior Day.
The Ohio track and field team has completed the first outdoor meet of the season at the 2018 Winthrop Adidas University Invitational (Mar. 23-24). The Bobcats posted a win in the 5K, 800m, and javelin and 21 top-10 finishes throughout the weekend.
